How we turned bartending basics into an engaging content series for Jameson HOSTS
The Ask
Jameson HOSTS, one of the world’s leading bar community platforms, approached us to develop and produce a number of social media videos designed to upskill the next generation of bartenders. To bring this to life, they needed more than standard brand content. They needed a partner with deep industry insight, one capable of combining creative content strategy, educational storytelling, and professional video production into an engaging, credible learning experience. Our challenge was to create content that was educational, authentic, and rooted in current bar industry dynamics, while keeping it entertaining and engaging for social media.
The Approach
From the initial brief, we developed the scalable concept “Bartending: The Unwritten Rules”, a practical, education-led content series focused on the foundational skills that shape great hospitality. To ensure the training felt grounded, credible, and rooted in real bar practice, we partnered with Dublin Bar Academy, Dublin’s leading hospitality educator, and invited three respected industry voices, David Taylor of Bar 1661, Megan Lopez of The Bartender Collective, and Richard Linden of Drink In Creative, to bring diverse, real-world expertise to the project. Together, we crafted a short-form video series of ten social-first 9:16 reels, each designed to deliver practical, actionable lessons bartenders can apply instantly, elevating day-to-day service and supporting long-term career development.
Strategic Development & Scriptwriting
In collaboration with industry consultant Rebekkah Dooley, our digital strategy team shaped the learning flow and scripts to feel authentic, easy to follow, and firmly rooted in real industry experience. Because our speakers weren’t trained presenters, we scripted each video with pacing and rhythm in mind, using a teleprompter to support delivery while keeping tone and personality intact. We also stayed flexible and open to on-the-fly revisions, adjusting lines to match how each guest naturally spoke.
Branding and Visual World
Working across two strong brand identities, Jameson HOSTS and Dublin Bar Academy, required thoughtful alignment. We created a unified visual world supported by custom-designed graphics, branded animations, and a warm, welcoming tone that made the content feel instructional yet contemporary and fun.
Video Production Services
We filmed the entire project over three days using a multi-camera setup to bring pace, visual variety, and a dynamic, TV-style energy to each tutorial. Speakers were directed to engage with different cameras to keep the reels engaging and fast-moving, mirroring modern educational content styles.
Across pre-production, filming, and post-production, our process was tightly collaborative:
- We coordinated scripts, curriculum notes, and shoot plans with Dublin Bar Academy.
- We worked closely with Jameson HOSTS on visual identity, brand tone, and content requirements.
- Our video production team in Dublin oversaw lighting, audio, direction, and performance coaching.
- Our editors crafted fast-turnaround reels enhanced with branded motion graphics and animated callouts to elevate clarity and engagement.
The entire production ecosystem, from scriptwriting to editing, was built around efficiency and clarity, while maintaining the natural, personality-led tone bartenders would connect with.
Importantly, HOSTS is a truly global platform. We produce content not only in Ireland but across international markets, capturing authentic stories and building connections with bartenders and industry leaders around the world.

The Outcome
Across three days of production, we created a full series of 10 educational reels, each focused on foundational skills and practical techniques. We delivered all assets on time and on budget, maintaining consistent communication with the Jameson HOSTS team to ensure accuracy, tone, and brand consistency throughout.
By combining digital strategy, professional video production services, and real industry insight, we created a training series that was educational, engaging, and highly shareable,strengthening Jameson HOSTS’ role as a global resource for the next generation of bartenders. The series exceeded expectations, achieving 40,000 organic impressions and generating strongly positive feedback from both the Jameson HOSTS audience and students at Dublin Bar Academy.
